Pinellas County Council PTA will be
hosting our "Stepping Up to the Challenge" Walk and Health and
Safety Fair, Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Walsingham Park
(shelters #1 and #2) from 10a.m. till 2p.m.
Our walk will begin on the Pinellas
Trail by the Pinellas County Housing Authority parking lot (11479
Ulmerton Rd., Largo) and continue down the trail to Walsingham Park.
Various exhibitors will be on hand. Some of our participants will
be: American Red Cross, Florida Suncoast Safe Kids Coalition,
Florida Kids Care, American Heart Association, Live Free!,
Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Nutrition, and
Fit4Kids from All Children's Hospital.
The first 100 walkers
will receive a free welcome gift bag!
Games and crafts for the children!
Refreshments and entertainment throughout the event!
Free event to help promote, educate and inform attendees about
health,
safety and wellness and how important each of these areas are in the
lives
of children.
