PTA bylaws provide the structure and basic rules by which each unit
operates. Every board member should have a copy of your local units
bylaws and a copy should be available at every PTA meeting.
PTA bylaws must be renewed every three years. Your
PTA must have current bylaws to be considered "a PTA in good
standing."
Current bylaws
are required to apply for PTA awards and to participate in the
Pinellas County Council of PTAs Reflections Program.
Local PTAs are REQUIRED to use the Florida PTA
bylaws form*
from
this year's
President's Kit of Materials when submitting
bylaws for renewal or revision.
Bylaws classes are
offered
at the
PTA Workshop
presented
by PCCPTA, the Florida PTA Convention and
Florida PTA Leadership Conference. For more information about PTA
bylaws contact our
PCCPTA Bylaws Chair.
